Overview We conducted 19 chaos experiments on MySQL 8.4.8 InnoDB Cluster with MySQL Router running on a KubeDB-managed 3-node cluster. The goal: validate that KubeDB MySQL InnoDB Cluster delivers zero data loss, automatic failover, transparent connection re-routing, and self-healing recovery under realistic failure conditions with production-level write loads. The result: every experiment passed with zero data loss, zero split-brain, and zero errant GTIDs. This post summarizes the methodology, results, and key findings from comprehensive chaos testing of KubeDB MySQL InnoDB Cluster with MySQL Router.
READ MOREOverview We conducted 40+ chaos experiments across 2 MariaDB topologies (Galera Cluster and MariaDB Replication with MaxScale) on KubeDB-managed 3-node clusters. The goal: validate that KubeDB MariaDB delivers zero data loss, automatic failover, and self-healing recovery under realistic failure conditions with production-level write loads. The result: All experiments passed with zero data loss. Both topologies recovered automatically from every pod, stress, network, IO-fault, time, and DNS scenario tested. This post summarizes the methodology, results, and key findings from comprehensive chaos testing of KubeDB MariaDB.
READ MOREOverview We conducted 80+ chaos experiments across 3 MySQL versions (8.0.36, 8.4.8, 9.6.0) and 2 Group Replication topologies (Single-Primary and Multi-Primary) on KubeDB-managed 3-node clusters. The goal: validate that KubeDB MySQL delivers zero data loss, automatic failover, and self-healing recovery under realistic failure conditions with production-level write loads. The result: every experiment passed with zero data loss, zero split-brain, and zero errant GTIDs. This post summarizes the methodology, results, and key findings from comprehensive chaos testing of KubeDB MySQL Group Replication.
READ MOREKubeDB is now a Crossplane distribution for Hyper Clouds. Crossplane connects your Kubernetes cluster to external, non-Kubernetes resources, and allows platform teams to build custom Kubernetes APIs to consume those resources. We have introduced providers for GCP. You need crossplane already installed in your cluster. This will allow KubeDB users to provision and manage Cloud provider managed databases in a Kubernetes native way. Install Crossplane helm upgrade -i crossplane \ oci://ghcr.
